Josh Fairman has been playing music his whole life. After playing in rock and jazz bands, he decided to take a serious step and attend the University of Denver where he graduated with a degree in Commercial Music with emphasis in jazz bass performance and recording engineering. In 2006 Josh founded Laskin Productions, and over 5 years he made records for great Colorado acts. Since building Scanhope Sound with Joel Scanlon, Josh has quickly become a go-to engineer, working with The Flobots, The New Mastersounds, Ivan Neville, The Shady Horns...

"I really love taking people's creative ideas and turning them into reality . . . that's what it's all about."

Born and raised in Providence, RI, Joel Scanlon began drumming at the age of thirteen and continued to sharpen his skills while exploring jazz in his high school program by day and playing gigs with local rock band, Dingo, by night.  A University of Denver graduate, he dedicated his study to drums and percussion in various styles of music. Joel has recorded and/or toured with The Motet, Juno What?!, John Brown's Body, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, Thunder Body, Euforquestra and many more . . .

In addition to his performing, Joel is an accomplished recording and sound engineer as well as a producer.  He co-owns and creates at Scanhope Sound, a state-of-the-art studio in Littleton, CO nestled in a valley with vistas of Red Rocks on the outskirts of Denver.
